DSMT supporters will be saddened to learn of the untimely death in August of Mrs Samira Hassassian, wife of Professor Manuel Hassassian, Head of the Palestinian Mission to the UK. She was a friend of the Trust since its inception and we extend our deepest sympathies to Prof Hassassian and the family.
In 2008, following a visit, the DSMT funded science laboratory equipment at the Good Shepherd Swedish School for Girls in Bethlehem, which has close associations with Mrs Hassassian and her mother. The Board has decided to offer the school a further $5,000 to provide something the school needs which could be named in memory of Mrs Hassassian.
