Belsize Baroque’ gives concert in support of DSMT
On a chilly night in November 2014, lovers of baroque music, including DSMT supporters and members of the general public enjoyed a delightful evening at the Grosvenor Chapel, South Audley Street. Under the direction of maestro Adrian Butterfield, baroque orchestra Belsize Baroque, assisted by student trumpeters from the Guildhall School of Music gave an animated performance of music by Vivaldi, Bach, Geminiani and Handel. The event was organised by Belsize Baroque oboe player and DSMT board member, Susan Cooksley. The music, setting, interval wine and convivial atmosphere combined to create a memorable event which we hope might be repeated in the future.
DSMT warmly thanks Belsize Baroque for putting on this excellent performance and thank you also to all who generously contributed to the retiring collection in aid of DSMT.
